Moonlight Cinema

Last night Brett and I went to Moonlight Cinema with some friends to watch The Ghost Writer. And WOW, what an amazing experience. Everything including the seats, the bean beds, the picnic, the company, the movie and the weather (until the very end of the movie) was perfect. I can't wait to get back from Europe and see another movie!

Charcoal goodness

So, yesterday it seemed like it was about to rain all day and we prepared for having a quiet night inside watching movies. But about 7pm the sky turned purple and we saw the most amazing sunset. So instead of hanging out inside, we spent all night chillin on the balconies, drinking champagne and eating the most delicious charcoal grilled salmon, prawns and beetroot salad. 

I love our little charcoal grill, even more now when we've started using wood coal rather than briquettes, as it just makes everything taste absolutely sensational. We also had some seriously good garlic, chili and basil prawns but I was too busy eating so I don't have any photos.

Now I'm off for a snow white ride to Freshie to go for a morning swim. Seems like the perfect way to start this beautiful summer day!

Julfest

We had some of our favourite Swedes and Swede-associates over for a christmas party on Sunday arvo. It involved glogg, traditional Swedish christmas food, snapps, christmas beer, happy people and a very evil kris kringle game. Which ended with both Brett and I being robbed of our pressies! It was great to catch up with everyone before we head over to the Swiss alps next week for Brett's first ever white christmas (fingers crossed).

Wentworth Pass and Wagaya

I spent yesterday in the Blueys with Brett, my brother and ML doing the 3 hour Wentworth pass walk. It's like a paradise with waterfalls, rainforest and lagoons. I was totally exhausted afterwards but in a very satisfying way.

Afterwards we had an awesome dinner at Wagaya - a great Japanese restaurant. We had a big variety of dishes such as sushi, sashimi, potato salad. fried rice, gyoza, edamame, miso, tofu and soft shell crab. Absolutely delicious and a great way to finish an awesome weekend.
