Red mist is back in action and we've gone up to freshie for some lunch! I love summer.

Wentworth Pass and Wagaya

I spent yesterday in the Blueys with Brett, my brother and ML doing the 3 hour Wentworth pass walk. It's like a paradise with waterfalls, rainforest and lagoons. I was totally exhausted afterwards but in a very satisfying way.

Afterwards we had an awesome dinner at Wagaya - a great Japanese restaurant. We had a big variety of dishes such as sushi, sashimi, potato salad. fried rice, gyoza, edamame, miso, tofu and soft shell crab. Absolutely delicious and a great way to finish an awesome weekend.

We just got home after a very nice dinner with Pure Blonde and N at some Italian place in Slurry Hills. Had some delicious cured pork carpaccio and pasta with pork and broad beans. Very yummy.

Now we're back home having a drink on the balcony and I'm playing with my new Macbook pro. I almost lost my faith in Apple after not just one, but two broken Macbooks. Apparently it was just some software problem that could easily be fixed by the guys at the genius bar at the Apple store. But after what I've just experienced I'll be sure to back up absolutely everything on this laptop once a day. At least.

Red Mist drama

Brett and I took the Vespas for a ride up to Freshwater to get some groceries from Harbord Growers Market. As we pulled into Freshwater I noticed that Brett looked a bit unstable on Red Mist. And when I caught up to him a few seconds later I found out that Red Mist's gear box/clutch was broken. Not exactly convenient to be stuck that far from home with a broken Vespa. But somehow Brett managed to pull off a hill start and somehow made it back to base. Then we spent the rest of the evening reading instruction books and pulling the vespa apart. Well I mostly read instructions, solved problems and kept Brett company. And took a heap of photos.

 It's not fixed yet but at least we know what the problem is - the gear control cable has snapped. So now we just need a new cable and spend a few more hours reading instructions, solving problems, pulling the vespa apart and then putting all the pieces back together again.

But now it's time for us to watch the last episode of season 7 of 24. After that there's only one more season to go. I need to come up with a plan of what to do with my spare time after we have finished the last season. Or can someone give me a suggestion of another series to watch?

Seal Rocks

 After a 7 month long wait we finally managed to get the team back together for another weekend of camping. This time we went back to Seal Rocks but to a different campsite to the previous one. I'm still indecisive of which one I prefer but the great thing about Treachery camp (where we were this time) is that campfires are allowed. And without a fire we would probably have starved to death since we didn't bring any gas for our bbq.

As usual we ate too much, drank too much and laughed all night. Other activities included a late night sing-off with some other campers, brannboll, kubb, badminton, trivial pursuit, swimming and replacing two flat tyres of Svennies and LMC's car - the Black Mamba.

There's a lot more to tell about our weekend in the Bush but since Brett just asked me super cutely in Swedish if I wanted to go to bed, I think I will say yes and let the pictures speak for themselves. Good night!

 

Byron, Vespas and randoms

20 min

I had my new MacBook pro for 20 min. Then the screen went black and all funky. Crapple. C.R.A.P.P.L.E.
I have an appointment at the Apple store tomorrow. They better replace it straight away.
